Throughout October, our community gathered to uplift the spirits of survivors, fighters, and those yet to confront this challenge. We organized a month-long donation drive, collecting items that bring comfort to individuals currently battling breast cancer. Generous contributions included warm fuzzy socks, lotions, candles, Chapstick, ice packs, blankets, shampoo and conditioner, eye masks, hair ties, and coloring books with pencils. Each donation represented our shared commitment to making a difference.
Our initiative was made even more meaningful with insights from breast cancer survivors within our ranks.
Wendy Galindo shared, “As a cancer survivor, I wanted to emphasize the importance of oversized T-shirts after surgery. They don’t need to be new, as they will be cut for ease during recovery. Button-up pajama sets are also incredibly comfortable.”
Rhonda Sams added, “As a former cancer patient and survivor, I know firsthand how these items provide comfort to those in treatment.”
Their words highlight the profound impact that small acts of kindness can have on those facing immense challenges.
This campaign was lead by our internal Women’s Network, Lancer Strong Willed (Women Inspired to Liberate and Lead) whose dedication inspires us all. As part of our efforts, we held a “Wear it Pink!” day, where employees donned their best pink attire and donated items to support those in need. All donations were delivered to Rose’s House. Rose’s House is a home away from home for people traveling to San Antonio, TX for breast cancer treatment. Thank you to everyone that participated and donated for this great cause.

At Lancer Worldwide, our commitment to community and support extends far beyond our global presence. We proudly launched Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Piedras Negras with an inspiring pink race right next to our facility.
Employees, along with their families and friends, came together to show their support for those battling breast cancer. The event started early in the morning, with participants lining up at the starting line. Everyone took part in warm-up stretches, creating a spirited atmosphere.
As the race began, it was clear that this was about more than just running; it was a demonstration of community support. When participants crossed the finish line, their white T-shirts were transformed into vibrant pink, symbolizing hope and unity.
Our commitment didn’t stop at donations. Many of us participated in a meaningful walk at Methodist Hospital, hosted by Susan G. Komen, known as the “More Than Pink” walk. This event is the largest fundraising series dedicated to breast cancer and has raised over $60 million since its inception in 2018.
The “More Than Pink” movement emphasizes that awareness alone isn’t enough; individuals impacted by breast cancer need access to treatment, emotional support, and more. It’s about building a community committed to creating a world without breast cancer, fostering connection, and sharing stories that inspire hope.
