Lancer Joins UN Global Compact, World's Largest Corporate Sustainability Initiative

February 2026 - Lancer Corporation has officially joined the United Nations Global Compact, committing to align business operations and strategy with universal principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.

As a signatory, Lancer pledges to advance the UN's Ten Principles and contribute to broader societal goals through responsible corporate practices and strategic actions that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Ten Principles - The UN Global Compact's framework covers four pillars:

Human Rights

•         Principle 1: Support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights

•         Principle 2: Ensure non-complicity in human rights abuses

Labor

•         Principle 3: Uphold freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining

•         Principle 4: Eliminate all forms of forced and compulsory labor

•         Principle 5: Abolish child labor

•         Principle 6: Eliminate discrimination in employment and occupation

Environment

•         Principle 7: Support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges

•         Principle 8: Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility

•         Principle 9: Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies

Anti-Corruption

•         Principle 10: Work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery

Commitment to Transparency

As a Global Compact participant, Lancer will submit an annual Communication on Progress (CoP) detailing efforts to implement the Ten Principles and support the SDGs. The first CoP is due in July 2027, providing stakeholders with transparent reporting on progress and challenges.

Lancer's participation is publicly listed on the UN Global Compact website.

Strategic Alignment

UN Global Compact membership reinforces Lancer's existing sustainability framework, including Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitments, EcoVadis Silver Medal recognition, SMETA social compliance certifications, CDP Climate Change and Water Security reporting, and ISO management system certifications.

The Global Compact's principles align closely with Lancer's operational standards across human rights (SMETA audits, labor practices), labor (ISO 45001, working conditions), environment (SBTi targets, ISO 14001), and anti-corruption (business ethics policies).
